What is the BBJT?

• The Backroads and Byways Junkin Tour is a self-guided tour featuring local small businesses. We feature vintage/antiques, quaint coffee shops, occasional sale vendors, pop-up shops, agri-artisanal, local farms, creative and unique makers, and a selection of boutiques.

How do I learn more about the businesses?

• Check out the participating businesses by clicking the Businesses on the Tour tab, or follow them on social media.

When is it?

• The 2026 Spring event is June 5th & 6th and the 2026 Fall event is October 2nd & 3rd 

• HOURS TBD. 

Where is it?

• The tour is mainly in Warren County, Iowa with a few businesses in Madison, Clarke, and Lucas County as well. We have businesses in Indianola, New Virginia, Lacona, Milo, Norwalk, St. Charles, Osceola, Lucas and Prole. A GPS map link will be available closer to tour dates.

How do I become a map stop?

• Fill out this form and we'll be in touch! We are looking for businesses north of Hwy 34 in Osceola, and south of Norwalk. *The BBJT is a juried event. The juried process is, in part, to ensure a cohesive event set forth in our overall mission.*
